100 MMSCFD GAS PROCESSING PLANT
About the Project
Under a lump sum turnkey contract, EPFC designed, fabricated and constructed a 100 MMSCFD sour gas processing plant for a major international client. The plant also processes over 20,000 bpd of hydrocarbon liquids, between LPG and C5+ stabilized condensate. EPFC was the prime contractor at the site until the plant was fully commissioned. Start up and performance validation were completed by EPFC as part of turnover to the client. In addition to the gas plant, a 5000 m3/d produced water treatment facility was included at the site. The water treatment facility recycles produced water for use as frac water in the client’s completions operations.
Major Equipment: Inlet separation, inlet compression, amine sweetening unit, refrigeration package, de-ethanizer, condensate stabilization, sales compression, LPG storage bullets, C5+ storage tanks, produced water treatment
Utilities: Instrument air, turbine-driven power generation, fuel gas, heat medium, waste heat recovery, flare system, acid gas incineration
EPFC Scope: Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction
EPFC designed, fabricated and constructed a 198 MMSCFD sweet gas processing plant with the capacity for 4,000 bpd of LPG and 4,000 bpd of C5+ stabilized condensate. The gas processing was designed with two 99 MMSCFD trains. Each train included turbine-driven centrifugal compressors for inlet and sales compression, for a total of 20,000 hp. Schedule was a key driver for the client and EPFC was able to execute the project from start of FEED to start up in 16 months, almost 2 months ahead of the original schedule.
Major Equipment: Inlet separation, inlet compression, refrigeration package, de-ethanizer, de-butanizer, sales compression, LPG storage bullets, C5+ storage tanks
Utilities: Instrument air, power generation, fuel gas, heat medium, waste heat recovery, flare system
EPFC Corp Scope: Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction
EPFC designed, fabricated and constructed a standalone 100 MMSCFD compressor station, with provision to expand to 150 MMSCFD. The facility feeds dehydrated gas to an existing sweet gas processing plant. Condensate separated at the inlet of the compressor station is pumped into the pipeline transporting gas to the plant.
Major Equipment: Separation, compression, dehydration, condensate re-injection pumps
Utilities: Instrument air, power generation, fuel gas, heat medium, flare system
EPFC Corp Scope: Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction
EPFC designed, fabricated and constructed a standalone 50 MMSCFD compressor station feeding an existing sour gas processing plant. Condensate separated at the inlet of the compressor station is pumped to the same plant. The facility was designed to allow for future expansion.
Major Equipment: Separation, compression, dehydration, condensate reinjection pumps, condensate storage tanks, produced water storage tanks
Utilities: Instrument air, power generation, fuel gas, heat medium, flare system
EPFC Corp Scope: Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction
EPFC designed and constructed multiple additions to an existing sour gas facility, taking the processing capacity from 60 MMSCFD to 110 MMSCFD. To achieve this capacity increase, new equipment was added and extensive modifications were completed on existing equipment to debottleneck the facility. Work also included increasing hydrocarbon liquid processing capacity by modifying the existing condensate feed drum and stabilizer column.
Major Equipment: Inlet separator, crash dump vessel, VRU, compression, dehydration
Utilities: Power generation, heat medium, BTEX incinerator
EPFC Corp Scope: Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction
EPFC designed, fabricated and constructed a brownfield expansion of an existing sweet gas plant, increasing capacity by 105 MMSCFD. This was achieved through an additional 90 MMSCFD train and 15 MMSCFD debottlenecking. The gas processing plant produces three saleable products: dry process gas, LPG and C5+ liquids.
Major Equipment: Refrigeration plant, sales compression, de-ethanizer, overhead compressor, LPG storage bullets, C5+ storage tanks
Utilities: Instrument air, power generation, heat medium, BTEX incinerator
