ABOUT THE ROLE
The Mechanical Engineer will be integral to the specifying of facility equipment and packages including process equipment, pumps, compressors, vessels, and a variety of other components in production facilities – primarily in oil and gas. As part of the EPFC Mechanical Engineering Department, besides this critical vendor management role, other mechanical discipline engineering tasks are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define, specify, and manage vendor packages
- Technical oversight
- Schedule management
- Cost management
- Monitor and review vendor materials for quality and assure client specification compliance
- Create mechanical engineering deliverables for EPFC scope:
- Datasheets
- Material Requisitions
- Technical and commercial bid evaluations
- Plot plans
- Mechanical Equipment, SP Items, Tie-in List
- Multi-discipline oversight of whole packages of specific equipment
- Input for PFDs, P&IDs and LDTs
YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work activities.

- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technologist with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
- Registered P.Eng. designation with APEGA or C.E.T. Technologist with ASET; registration with other jurisdictions (BC, SK) viewed as a benefit. For a technologist, a P. License, APEGA is preferred.
- Demonstrates awareness of health, safety and environment issues and commitment to address these issues.
- Previous experience in production facility project execution including working with fabrication and construction teams considered an asset.
- Knowledge of, and experience working with, other engineering disciplines: Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil
- Prior fabrication or packaging experience is an asset.
